LittleWhyNot Shop: リトルホワイノットについて

リトルホワイノットは、「小さな哲学空間」をテーマに、手作りのアートオブジェや陶製品、ヨーロッパでセレクトした雑貨やヴィンテージ品を扱う、小さなお店です。

パリを拠点に活動する絵本作家・イラストレーターのたなか鮎子の作品やグッズを中心に、ヨーロッパや日本でセレクトしたグッズを扱うオンラインショップとして、 2018年初旬にオープンしました。

絵本や民話、児童文学。

物語には、小さな気づきや、人生を豊かにする小さな哲学が満ちています。

小さな栄養のつみかさねが人の体を作るように、自由な空想は、つもりつもって、生き生きとした心を育てます。そうやって大きくなった人は、大人になっても、自由な独立心を失わないものです。

さらに、そこに自分なりの哲学のエッセンスを加えていくことで、芯の強い、おだやかな生き方を見つけていくこともできるでしょう。

リトルホワイノットでは、そんな思いを込めた遊び心たっぷりのグッズ＆小さな物語を、お届けしていきます。遊びにきてくれた人・グッズを手に取ってくれた人が、心の奥に眠るクリエイティブ・マインドを見つめ直すきっかけになってくれれば、嬉しいかぎりです。

ちなみに、このサイトには、「ホワイノット」という町から来た、ちょっと風変わりな人々がたびたび登場します。

彼らは、自分たちが人間の生み出す言葉のかけらでできている、と主張しています。町で言葉のかけらをみつけては、ベルリンやパリのアトリエに届けてくれたりもします。

LittleWhyNot – A Shop of Little Inner Philosophical Space

LittleWhyNot is a small shop of handmade and vintage goods, carefully crafted and selected according to the theme of our ‘Little Inner Philosophical Space’.

Most of the goods are created by Ayuko Tanaka, who is a children’s book illustrator and author based in Paris and Tokyo. She has always been greatly inspired by the power of words and human creative thought.

Besides, we’ve been getting some useful help from some of the mysterious people from the town of ‘WhyNot’.
They insist their beautiful town is made out of human philosophical thoughts (they themselves as well, apparently), and they frequently bring to us interesting words they select from the fragments of thoughts they always carry on them.
